Review of Inch Beach, Dingle Peninsula Inch Beach is stunning—a long, golden stretch of Blue Flag coastline with breathtaking views of the Atlantic. The waves are wild, the scenery is unforgettable, and the water is freezing. Perfect for a bracing walk or a surf session if you don’t mind the chill! (Sam Houston, Feb 2025, TripAdvisor)
What a beach! Mountains meet the sand. Looked out of this world. We were quite lucky that the mountains had snow on them, so was quite magical. Photos don’t do it justice. (Belinda K, Jan 2025, TripAdvisor)
Inch beach is a great place to grab a drink and take a nice stroll on the beach. We had been siting in the car most of the day and enjoy stretching our legs and the views. It was a chilly but sunny day in September and there were very few people. (Life2Travel, Nov 2024, TripAdvisor)
We stopped at inch beach while driving the Dingle peninsula. The day was beautiful. A lot of people were there. Not much parking on site. We did find some paid parking on the side of the road. (TravelingBum10, Sept 2024, TripAdvisor)
This is a very large beach and fun to visit. You can even park right on the beach despite there being nearby parking lots. The water stays shallow for a while, so a great bathing location if you do not mind the water temperature. (TonyC_Austin, Sept 2024, TripAdvisor)
I visited Inch Beach with my wife, kids (7, 11, 14yo), and parents (70s). We were in the area and went for quick visit on a nice June day-- nice, but not spectacular. We were just there to check it out, stretch our legs, and enjoy the beach. Inch Beach just goes on, and on, and on. It is a long, sandy beach reaching down into a gentle, but still oceanic, surf (obviously, this would be affected by weather). The way that it is situated, between mountainous peninsulas reach down into the sea at the foot of a sweeping slope, gives this beach a richly scenic quality that is really special. Inch Beach's size makes it seem somewhat lonely, but in a positive, nature-writ-large way. We didn't have to walk far, and we felt alone with the sea and the sky, yet still earthbound is a very positive way. This beach must get more crowded than it was that morning, but, again it is really big. There appeared to be surfing lessons available at the beach, and the beach is amenable to all of the typical beach pursuits, though it was not exactly warm on the morning we visited, even in June. Inch Beach is mostly just about the beach-- there is no boardwalk and only a couple of restaurants in the village. This beach is just about the beach, and if more entertainment is desired, then there is not a lot of this. A great beach for just soaking up natural beauty, taking long walks, doing some wading, looking for shells. (Extremely normal person, Jun 2024, TripAdvisor)
